About That Embroidery Guy

Joe Ricci is the owner of That Embroidery Guy, taking over the business full time after the untimely death of his partner, Marco Thompson, in 2017.

Joe brings his creativity and passion for design to That Embroidery Guy on any project from monograms to company logos. The beauty of this company is that jobs LARGE and SMALL are treated with exactly the same enthusiasm.

He’s worked with large companies on shirts, jackets and hats for employees, to the entertainment world with Broadway musicals “Mean Girls,” “Ain’t Too Proud,” “Something Rotten” and “It Shoulda Been You,” and on television in shows like Julian Fellowes’ “The Gilded Age” and “The Knick.” He’s also provided work that’s been used in the annual Victoria’s Secret runway show.

Joe also digitizes company logos and designs so your logo stands out on your garments and gear, from shirts, hats, knitted beanies and jackets to golf bags, equipment bags and more.

marco-about-usMarco Thompson founded That Embroidery Guy after a 35+ year career in communications, combining his “geeky” side (his love of computers and technology) with his “creative” side (creating beautiful designs and products). Within months, he had local businesses, civic and service organizations asking him to work on everything from shirts to purses to sports bags to uniforms.

Marco passed in 2017, leaving his legacy to be carried on by Joe.
